After a terrible and torrid year for us all during this unprecedented pandemic, I am pleased to handover the role and title of High Sheriff of South Glamorgan to Mr Peter Dewey.
Peter can be contacted in his role as High Sheriff on
I am very privileged and honoured to have served this ancient and very prestigious position as High Sheriff for a great country of South Glamorgan.
Thank you again to all of those who have been on the front line and have gone towards the danger, especially the NHS, South Wales Police, the prison service and Public Health Wales.
Keep healthy, keep safe and keep happy
All my best
Poem for Welsh Heroes
UPDATE: We have now reached £18,000 of donations- raising our target and then beating it! Extremely proud. Thank you everyone who has contributed. Please continue to do so.
The High Sheriffs of the three counties of Glamorgan raise their voices in joining to thank the Welsh NHS.
Andrew Rhys Howell, High Sheriff of South Glamorgan along with Debbie Williams of West Glamorgan and Jason Edwards of Mid Glamorgan, invited Welsh stars of song, stage, screen and field to come together in support of the Welsh NHS.
Their courage, strength and hard work is inspirational, and the High Sheriff’s hope that the money raised from this poem will show our appreciation.
Join our voices of saying thank you, by donating on the link below. Monies raised will go directly to the incredible Welsh NHS Charity.
Andrew is a born and bred Cardiffian. Educated at Monkton House Cardiff and Llanishen High School Cardiff he read Accountancy at the University of Buckingham before returning to Cardiff in 1979 to start BCB International Ltd.
Over the 40 plus years at the helm, he has built BCB International into a world market leading designer and manufacture of survival and rescue equipment; which has helped save many thousands of lives over the years.
Twice a week, me and my team, are giving hand sanitiser donations to charities, hospices, nursing homes, food banks and more around south glamorgan.
